Architects Barnes – Alex Tart Architects have worked on and delivered a number of projects in Barnes, as well as the neighbouring areas of Putney, Richmond and Hammersmith. We have secured contentious planning and listed building consents within the borough which have led to us developing strong working relationships with the local authorities.

We were recently awarded planning approval and listed building consent for a Grade II listed building on Castlenau. The proposal pushed the boundaries of permissible developments in the area and has subsequently been used to justify other projects within the vicinity.

In most cases we are involved in developing schemes from their initial project brief and concept design through to realisation and completion. We are however entirely happy to adapt our involvement to meet your specific needs.

Our architecture is defined by continually striving for the highest quality designs in both traditional and contemporary architectural styles. Whether we utilise these two differing approaches independently or in unison is dependent on your tastes, brief and contextual requirements.

The process of designing and building a home can be complex.
