Construction complete on Grade II Listed Flat on Ennismore Gardens in Westminster

Alex Tart Architects have completed the total internal renovation and refurbishment of a Grade II listed flat on Ennismore Gardens in Westminster. This comes following our involvement in obtaining the, listed building consent and licence to alter the flat, required by the building’s freeholder.

The existing lower ground flat was overly divided, dark and inefficient with large amounts of dead space making a good-sized flat feel smaller than needed. Alex Tart Architect’s proposed rationalising the plan, minimising the circulatory space and maximising the light that could be gained in the property.

A thorough interrogation of the property’s history, and the creation of a clear and succinct heritage statement to support the proposals saw the listed building consent for the alterations awarded. Having overcome these critical stages in the project Alex Tart Architects have enjoyed working closely with the clients to facilitate the swift tender and construction of their new home.
