Project summary: Listed building consent was granted for the refurbishment and re-planning of a traditional Georgian townhouse and mews house in Belgravia, London.  The work also included alterations to a contemporary pool development.

This important Grade II listed Georgian property in the Hans Town Conservation Area comprises of a townhouse and mews house, linked via a contemporary subterranean pool development.

A number of listed building applications were made before approval was finally granted on appeal for the works. The remodelling of this house was carefully considered, working in conjunction with respected local agents, the developer client and interior designers to ensure that the end product would meet the demands of future buyers.

The overall design respects the period rooms and features a wealth of traditional detailing appropriate to a house of this stature. The more modern parts of the building are treated in a more contemporary style.
